Asian Legal Business Features everstead Principal, Jeremiah Huang, on Singapore’s IPO Revival

08/08/2026

Our Principal, Jeremiah Huang, was featured in this month’s Asian Legal Business, a publication of Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, on Singapore’s IPO revival, following a 2025 in which the SGX rose from last to first amongst Southeast Asia’s major bourses by IPO funds raised.

Initially invited as one of several contributors, Jeremiah ultimately became the feature’s sole voice. The piece takes a measured look at Singapore’s remarkable year. It welcomes the strong rebound, while looking beyond the headline numbers to ask how far the recovery truly reaches. As he observes, a vibrant public equities market depends not only on a handful of large listings, but on a broad base of participants: smaller issuers ready to list, sponsors and underwriters willing to back them, advisers with real access to transactions, and investors open to companies beyond the most familiar sectors. It is a perspective closely aligned with the aims of Singapore’s ongoing reforms to broaden market participation.

Several of these themes are explored further, alongside the legal and regulatory framework behind them, in Jeremiah’s Singapore chapter of Global Legal Insights’ renowned book on Initial Public Offerings 2026, which Global Legal Insights once again entrusted to our team.
