Singapore Counsel in Scanfil Plc’s Acquisition of SRXGlobal
23/10/2024
Everstead’s Jeremiah Huang successfully assisted as Singapore counsel in Scanfil Plc’s acquisition of SRXGlobal for approximately US$26 million. The acquisition includes SRX’s factories in Australia and Malaysia, with 8 automated surface mount technology (SMT) circuit board lines and about 300 employees.
Scanfil, which is listed on NASDAQ Helsinki (HEL:SCANFL), is a global contract manufacturing giant with an annual turnover of approximately US$1 billion, while SRX is a regional electronics manufacturing group, which specialises in, amongst others, SMT for circuit boards.
Jem worked under the leadership and instruction of Catherine Debreceny (from Kain Lawyers), Jani Karjalainen (from KPMG Finland), and their respective teams from Australia and Finland. Also working on this landmark transaction were Zaid Ibrahim & Co (as Malaysia counsel) led by Joan Ting and Syn Yi Chan, and Hanim Hamzah (KPMG Law’s Asia Pacific Regional Leader for Legal Services, who coordinated Asia).
For more information, please contact Jeremiah Huang or refer to the media’s widespread coverage of the transaction.
Note: Media coverage and release of this first occurred whilst the team was at their previous firm.
